Uco Valley´s viewing-point of stars, Tupungato is a fertile geographical point surrounded by panoramic beauties and guarded from the heights by the gigantic mass of the Volcano that gives it its name, and by the majestic Cerro El Plata.

Fruity plantations, picturesque vineyards, direct contact with the mountain, clear sky and crystalline water courses crossing its entire territory, Tupungato has become a seductive tourist center where to enjoy the purest serenity of Cuyo or to awake the adrenaline practicing challenging adventure tourism activities.

It has excellent tourist services at its head location and a comfortable camping on the bank of the river El Sauce and rural establishments indulge in the best stay. It is located in the west center of the province of Mendoza, separated by about 70 kilometers from the capital city. It limits to the south with Tunuyán, and to the north with Luján de Cuyo

Tupungato offers the visitor, as well as landscapes with valleys and streams of unparalleled colors and shapes, its culture, witness of aborigines, immigrants and liberating deeds. It divides its heritage tourism in these circuits:

* Tupungato Provincial Park *
It is an area where Cerro Tupungato is located, one of the most important of the Cordillera de los Andes, of incomparable beauty and in its natural state. This makes it a great attraction for adventure tourism, trekking or horseback riding high mountain, condors sighting, rappel, zip line, ecotourism and mining.

* Ecotourism *
The Andean Condor Reserve is located in Estancia Las Aguaditas. 3 km from the route is the Quebrada del Cóndor refuge, which allows you to stay and from where the horseback riding and photographic safaris start.

* Religious Tourism *
You can visit: Cristo Rey del Valle (San José), Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Socorro (Centro), Capilla histórica Sagrado Corazón (San José), Monasterio del Cristo Orante (Gualtallary), Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Anchoris), Cruz Negra (Zapata), Capilla Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro (Santa Clara), Capilla San Vicente (La Arboleda).

* Municipal Camping *
It is one of the busiest in Tupungato, and has been remodeled to make it more attractive and comfortable for visitors.

* Mountain Tour *
It is also known as La Carrera Tourist Productive Corridor. It begins in San José district and ends in Potrerillos, a town located in Luján de Cuyo. Northwesterly, along Provincial Route No. 89, slowly you can ascends between cerrilladas and streams, whose waters flow down from the Cordon del Plata and after 44 kilometers you reach Las Vegas village. In its beautiful tour potatoes and cereal crops they are appreciated.
